Bright Baby Shower

Claudia Forward - Thursday, May 05, 2011
Baby showers don't always have to be in pink or blue decor.  They don't even have to be in pastels.  They can be in whatever colour you or the mother-to-be, prefers.

We love the look of dramatic red, black and white and think that it looks wonderful as a colour scheme for a baby shower.

Don't limit yourself to traditional colours.  Experiment and create something wonderful.

Personalised Baby Thank You Cards

Claudia Forward - Tuesday, May 03, 2011
Sometimes in this busy life of ours, we are tempted to take shortcuts, aren't we?  Email has taken over from snail mail in many cases but that only makes it extra special when we get a personal note in our letterboxes.  Imagine how much more special that note would be if it was personalised with a photo.

Our personalised Baby Thank You Cards are perfect for saying thanks in an intimate and very special way.

Thank you cards make it simple to acknowledge the love, support and gifts you receive on the birth of your baby.

Style your baby thank you cards to reflect your own personal taste or carry on the theme and colouring of the christening or baby shower.

This one is stunning in the purity of black and white and has been designed around the gorgeous photo.  It is clean and lovely in its simpliciity.

Stylish baby thank you card

This thank you card is very different.  It features more photos of your baby and you will notice that the colours have been chosen to match those in the baby's bonnet in the main photo.

Both designs are stunning and will be kept with all those other special mementos for a lifetime.

Do something special when you are thanking your friends and family.  After all, they went to a lot of effort to select a gift for you and your child.  Give them a thank you worth doing with a personalised photo baby thank you card.

Clever Cupcakes

Claudia Forward - Thursday, March 03, 2011
Cupcakes first appeared about 200 years ago when the original recipe was made known. Since it came out, cupcakes have grown in popularity and have become a trend in the culinary world. It has given rise to many bakeshops dedicated to these little treats. There are even cookbooks that are devoted to them. Clearly, cupcakes are here to stay for a long time.

But what makes these mini cakes great?

One of the reasons is that cupcakes are very convenient to make.  They cook much faster than regular-sized cakes. When you have kids at home waiting, something that cooks quickly is a lifesaver!

You can also do a variety of flavors in one batch of cupcakes. Unlike cakes, you don’t get stuck with just one flavor. You can do chocolate, vanilla, butter, mocha, or strawberry. The possibilities are endless!

In addition, you can decorate the cupcakes with different toppings. It can be colored icing, candy sprinkles, marzipan art, or simple powdered sugar. You can even incorporate chocolate chips, preserved fruits, and jam in your cupcakes to make them more special and unique.

Just have a look at these ones.  They are from a book called Planet Cake Cupcakes.  Aren't they fabulous?  The work in this book is pure art.

Cupcakes are the perfect size for little kids. They’re not too big and they’re not small enough to leave you wanting for more.  They can be turned into any sort of creation from fun to elegant.

Start making them and give your family a sweet treat that’s sure to put a smile on their faces. You can check out Book Depository for The Planet Cake Cupcake book and a list of other cupcake cookbooks you can begin with.

Baby Shower and Bridal Shower Ideas: Release your Wish

Claudia Forward - Wednesday, July 21, 2010
Ohhhh I love the idea of these Wish Balloons! Perfect for a bridal shower or a baby shower.

Each guest is asked to write an anonymous wish for the couple or baby onto a small piece of paper. The wishes are tied to helium balloons, which the bride or mum-to-be releases into the sky. Watching the balloons with all those loving notes will absolutely put a smile on your face; there is something about balloons floating in the sky that fills you with joy and hope.
