Personalised Sports Cards

Claudia Forward - Friday, June 03, 2011
Our son absolutely LOVES his soccer and baseball cards. He keeps them in the back of his footy card book which he takes to bed with him every night.

Can you imagine how a team would feel to have their very own personalised cards?  They are a great idea as an end of season gift.  Your child's team can also use them as a fundraiser and put the proceeds straight back into equipment or uniforms for the team.

This is what the cards look like for my son's team.

In each pack you players will receive the following:

  • A complete set of their team

  • An additional 3 of each player in the first set purchased (keepsake for the parents and grandparents)

Each set is personalised for your club and your team members.

  •  Design and colours on the cards will be coordinated to your clubs colours

  • Wording: you have the option of including stats on the back, or a few sentences on what they have done well at throughout the season.  We will provide some sample wording to help you get it right.

We can create these cards for any sport your child does.  If you are interested in finding out more about them please contact me.

We've Eloped

Claudia Forward - Friday, May 20, 2011
Not everyone wants the fuss of the traditional wedding.  The temptation to elope is huge, isn't it?  Instead of being faced will all those arrangements and family squabbles about seating arrangements, you could dash off into the warm regions of the world and soak up some sun.

Oh so tempting!

If an elopement is your choice you will still need to find a way to announce your wedding to your family and friends.  We can help you do that.

An elopement announcement using photos from your destination wedding will broadcast your news with style, class and pure joy. Your wedding announcements can also be used as an invitation to a celebration when you return home.

We offer the unique service of designing and mailing out your elopement announcement while you are still relaxing and enjoying your destination wedding.

When I look at these happy couples and the lovely beaches and scenery around them I think an elopement sounds like a wonderful idea.  What a lovely and personal wedding it would be.

Personalised Baby Thank You Cards

Claudia Forward - Tuesday, May 03, 2011
Sometimes in this busy life of ours, we are tempted to take shortcuts, aren't we?  Email has taken over from snail mail in many cases but that only makes it extra special when we get a personal note in our letterboxes.  Imagine how much more special that note would be if it was personalised with a photo.

Our personalised Baby Thank You Cards are perfect for saying thanks in an intimate and very special way.

Thank you cards make it simple to acknowledge the love, support and gifts you receive on the birth of your baby.

Style your baby thank you cards to reflect your own personal taste or carry on the theme and colouring of the christening or baby shower.

This one is stunning in the purity of black and white and has been designed around the gorgeous photo.  It is clean and lovely in its simpliciity.

Stylish baby thank you card

This thank you card is very different.  It features more photos of your baby and you will notice that the colours have been chosen to match those in the baby's bonnet in the main photo.

Both designs are stunning and will be kept with all those other special mementos for a lifetime.

Do something special when you are thanking your friends and family.  After all, they went to a lot of effort to select a gift for you and your child.  Give them a thank you worth doing with a personalised photo baby thank you card.

Children's Birthday Invitations

Claudia Forward - Thursday, April 28, 2011
One of our favourite things to do is create children's birthday invitations.

It seems to release a special form of creativity in us. Perhaps we are influenced by the innocence shining out of those little faces.

Kids birthday invitations need to be special and look special because they ARE special.  You've probably kept all the special cards from your child's 1st birthday and on through the years.  They are something to treasure, aren't they?

Have a look at these cute birthday invitations.

How well they show the personality of the children and that makes them special and memorable.

We personalise the colours and wording to suit every photo that comes in.  That's how we help capture the personality of your child.

Don't just buy those mass produced birthday cards when the occasion is so very special.  Ask us work with you to create something that you will keep forever.

Wishing Well Etiquette

Claudia Forward - Thursday, November 25, 2010
As I mentioned in my last post, wishing wells have become a popular way for marrying couples to ask for money instead of a gift.   So how can you get the message across without offending someone?  The answer seems to be with poetry!

The wishing well poem can be a way of alerting your guests to the fact you are going to having a wishing well. You can print your wishing well poem on the rear of your invitation, on a separate insert to include with your invitation or inside the cover if you are using a standard card format.

How you phrase the poem is up to you but there are many examples floating around the internet that will help you get started.  Here are a couple that might help.

Example One
We’ve been together a long while now;
We’ve gathered pots and pans and linen a’plenty;
We have glasses and electrical appliances;
So respectfully we ask of you, if you would like to make a gift to us on this our special day
A certain amount of “pay” would help us along the way;
To buying our first home.

Example Two
We know how hard it is to find the time.
To run around and shop with something in mind
So, here’s an idea we’d like you to try;
Come to our wedding to wish us well.

Here’s a pouch to fill with silver.
In this way you’ll earn your dinner
And help us along the way
With that down pay on the house we want to play home in!

I hope that gets your poetic juices flowing beautifully.

Birthday Cards are also a great Memory

Claudia Forward - Monday, September 20, 2010
I am currently designing a summary photobook for 2009. In the process, I started going through the kids memorabelia boxes, and realised that there are more than photos that should be included in this photobook.

So today's tip is to take a photograph of the meaningful birthday cards that you receive. Why? It keeps everything together, you don't need to store all your cards, and then if you decide to have a photobook designed, it's ready!

How to take the photograph:
  • Background: Lay a white table cloth or sheet down (preferably ironed)
  • Turn your camera flash on (forced flash)
  • Take the photo at an angle
    Note: this will avoid the flash reflecting on the card
Below is the double spread from our photobook that incorporates the cards. I took a photo of the cards together, as these represent all his interests at the time - Spiderman, Bob the Builder, Frogs etc.
